Bathrooms, kitchens & heating
What we do

Wet rooms & level-access showers
No step, no lip, no tray. The bath comes out, the floor is tanked and a level shower goes in — usually in two days, with your toilet still working.

Bathrooms & shower rooms
Full refits, walk-in showers and small awkward rooms made usable again.

Kitchens
Fitted around your routine, with easy-reach storage if that matters to you.

Boilers & central heating
Gas Safe 214707. Boiler swaps, radiators and full heating systems.
Flooring & wet wall
Non-slip safety flooring and wet wall panelling — warm underfoot, nothing to grout, nothing to scrub.
Joinery & fitted storage
Doors widened, thresholds removed, cupboards built. The joinery is done by us, not passed on.

Wet rooms & level-access showers
A bath you can't get into, replaced with a shower you can walk into.
We remove the bath, tank the floor and fit a level-access shower, usually in two days. Your toilet stays usable, and we can help with council grant and occupational therapist paperwork where needed.
See our wet room serviceThe money question, answered
Most of our customers don't pay the full cost. Some pay nothing at all.
If a bath has become unsafe to use, your council may fund at least 80% of an adaptation — and 100% if you receive certain benefits. Work carried out for a disabled or chronically sick person is often zero-rated for VAT. We'll tell you where you stand on the free visit and help you through the forms.

What people said afterwards
“Very considerate and thoughtful of my needs.”
My mobility isn't what it was and I was dreading the mess. Archie and Jon worked round me, kept the toilet working the whole time and left the house spotless. The shower has changed my day completely.
“I was very anxious before the work started.”
After my husband's stroke we were told a wet room was the only way he could wash himself. I was very anxious before the work started — I'd never had tradesmen in for more than an hour. Archie explained every single step, told us honestly what the council would cover and helped me fill the forms in. Two days and it was done. He now showers on his own and I cannot tell you what that has given us both back.
“Archie and son were a pleasure to have in your home.”
Polite, tidy, no swearing, no radio blaring. They cleaned up every night before they left. I'd have them back tomorrow.

Questions people actually ask
Will I qualify for a council grant?
You may be entitled to help. Every Scottish council runs a Scheme of Assistance, and for an adaptation judged essential the mandatory grant is a minimum of 80% of eligible costs — rising to 100% for households on certain benefits. Eligibility is decided by your council following an occupational therapist assessment, not by us. On the free visit we'll tell you honestly where we think you stand and help you start the paperwork.
Do I have to pay VAT on this?
Often not. Qualifying work carried out for a disabled or chronically sick person in their own home can be zero-rated for VAT under HMRC rules. There's a simple declaration to sign and we handle it for you. If the work doesn't qualify, we'll say so up front rather than after the invoice.
How long will my bathroom be out of use?
A typical bath-to-wet-room conversion takes two days on site. Your toilet stays connected and usable throughout except for short periods while we work on it. A full bathroom refit is usually three to four days.
Do you take a deposit up front?
No deposit before work starts. You pay when the job is finished and you're happy with it. Materials for larger kitchen jobs are the one exception and we'll always agree that in writing first.
Are you insured, and is the work guaranteed?
Yes. We carry full public liability insurance, we're Trading Standards Buy With Confidence approved and Gas Safe registered (214707). Workmanship is guaranteed and manufacturer warranties on products are registered in your name.
Can you work around a carer's visits?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Tell us the visit times on the free home visit and we'll plan the days around them. We can also work around dialysis, hospital appointments and day centre transport.
