Our main work
Wet rooms and level-access showers, fitted in two days
Getting in and out of a bath is where most falls at home happen. A level-access wet room removes the step entirely — no lip, no tray, no lifting a leg over anything.

Is this the right thing for you?
Struggling to step over the bath
The most common reason people call us. Nothing has happened yet — it's just become a daily risk that everyone in the family has noticed.
After a fall, stroke or surgery
Often on the recommendation of an occupational therapist. We work to their specification and can speak to them directly.
Planning ahead
Doing it now, while it's a choice rather than an emergency — and while you can pick the tiles yourself.

Wet-room customers
“Very considerate and thoughtful of my needs.”
My mobility isn't what it was and I was dreading the mess. Archie and Jon worked round me, kept the toilet working the whole time and left the house spotless. The shower has changed my day completely.
“I was very anxious before the work started.”
After my husband's stroke we were told a wet room was the only way he could wash himself. I was very anxious before the work started — I'd never had tradesmen in for more than an hour. Archie explained every single step, told us honestly what the council would cover and helped me fill the forms in. Two days and it was done. He now showers on his own and I cannot tell you what that has given us both back.
“Archie and son were a pleasure to have in your home.”
Polite, tidy, no swearing, no radio blaring. They cleaned up every night before they left. I'd have them back tomorrow.
Wet room questions
Can a wet room go into a small bathroom?
Almost always. We regularly convert rooms under 1.7m wide. The trick is where the drain and the screen go, not how big the room is — we work that out on the free visit and show you the layout before anything is ordered.
Will the rest of the floor get wet?
No. The whole floor is tanked and falls gently towards the drain, so water runs away from the rest of the room. A fixed glass screen keeps the spray contained, and the flooring is non-slip whether it's wet or dry.
Can I still use my toilet while you work?
Yes, apart from short spells while we work directly on it. We plan the two days so the toilet is back on every evening, and we always tell you the night before if there's a period it will be off.
Do I need an OT assessment first?
Only if you want council funding — the occupational therapist's assessment is what triggers the grant. If you're paying privately, you don't need one. Either way we're happy to speak to your OT directly and work to their recommendations.
Ask Archie about your bathroom
Send a photo or book a visit. He'll tell you whether a wet room will fit and roughly what the council is likely to cover.
